Academic Calendar
The Αcademic year starts on 1 September and ends on 31 August of the following calendar year.
The educational work of each academic year is structured in two semesters, the winter and spring semester. Each semester consists of 13 weeks of teaching. At the end of each semester there is a three-week examination period.
The academic calendar indicates the start and end dates:
- of the courses in the winter and spring semesters,
- the examination periods of the winter and spring semesters and the September resit,
- the Christmas and Easter holidays.
The academic calendar also describes the official holidays of each semester. It is announced before the start of each academic year, following a decision of the Senate of the University of West Attica.
